Scrimmage This Weekend

The Wave will be joining us this weekend for the games with the Heat. We’ll need to be at the field by 12:30 and we’ll play the Wave at 1:00. The Heat will play the Wave at 2:00 and following that game, we’ll play the Heat.

If you are unable to make it by 12:30 on Saturday, please let me know.

10U Coach Named

Panthers Softball would like to welcome Rhonda McKinney as our new 10U Coach. Coach McKinney comes to us after previously coaching another travel organization in the area and we are very lucky to have her.

10U Panther Scrimmage Game

The 10U Panthers will scrimmage the Johnson City Heat at 2:00 on March 29, 2008. We’ll meet at Sugar Hollow Park around 1:30. The park is off Exit 7 of I-81 and is located across Lee Highway from Home Depot. Additional information including directions will be sent out later this week.

If your unable to attend, please contact your coach as soon as possible.

10U Panther Scrimmage

The 10U Panthers will scrimmage the Heat (Johnson City) next weekend. The day and time has yet to be determined, but the game(s) will be held at Sugar Hollow Park in Bristol Virginia.

Website Updates

The website has been updated and now includes a schedule/calendar for team tournaments and other events. Remember, tournament dates listed on the schedule are preliminary only. As is the nature of travel ball, factors beyond our control will effect the posted schedule throughout the season. We’ll use the website schedule to keep everyone as updated as possible.

Parents Meeting

Panthers Softball will host a mandatory parents meeting on Tuesday, March 11th. The meeting is to be held at the Panthers Gym and will begin at 7:00 pm.

If you haven’t submitted a birth certificate for your daughter, please bring it with you on Tuesday. This includes those who played with us last year.

Panther BMS Fundraiser

The Panthers have been offered an amazing fundraising opportunity by the Bristol Motor Speedway. During the spring race weekend, we need 20 to 30 parents to volunteer for concession and souvenir sales. A portion of the profits will go directly to our programs. The effort will begin March 13th with stock inventory and we’ll operate the stands during the races on March 15th and on March 16th.

In addition, 5 to 10 of the volunteers will need to attend training at the raceway on March 5th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
